One Heart Worldwide’s mission is to save the lives and promote the well-being of pregnant mothers and their newborns in underserved areas of rural Nepal. One Heart's vision is to partner with local authorities to co-create a locally-led health system providing equitable access to quality care for all pregnant mothers and newborns. The success of One Heart Worldwide is rooted in a firm understanding of sustainable integration of quality MNH into local culture and communities within complex and remote operating environments that are prone to natural disasters.

One Heart Worldwide co-invests with the local government and leverages existing community channels to strengthen public Maternal and Newborn Healthcare infrastructure to establish a continuum of care, known as the Network of Safety, that increases access to safe delivery and extends both the reach and quality of care offered by the local health system. Since 2010, One Heart programs have reached a cumulative total of 369,155 pregnancies, in support of Nepal’s national plan to provide quality MNH services to rural pregnant women and their newborns. Additionally, One Heart has trained 605 Skilled Birth Attendants and 18,216 Community Outreach Providers, and upgraded 563 Birthing Centers. By 2030, One Heart Worldwide will impact one third of Nepal's pregnancies.
